What a summer it has been! The constant heat wave have bogged most of us down as we stay cool. Some of us decided to leave the city and refresh at some cooler environments. While others been totally affected from this past season, this past recession - that simply any take; any opportunity to give back to our well-being has been seriously re-invested toward our survival streaks.

For us, this summer allowed us to catch up; to develop a warm and inviting environment filled with relations, connections, resources and opportunities. All for one focus; to cater back to a market that we love - YOU to be more specific.

After a very accomplishing year this past, we are confident with ambition and drive the coming new year will present us with fresh challenges and true learning opportunities. We strive to learn more at every turn and those who know me; A forever believer on educating oneself. We feel our efforts are truly rewarded when we can pass on good advice to becoming a better industry freelancer; a better professional.

As we celebrate the fourth year of Prospecting Freelancer - a lead discussion shared by one successful freelancer, a seasoned industry professional to a room full of like-minded enthusiasts or simply its wannabees.

It is without a doubt, Cg6 Inc and Design Guild of Toronto proud to call out this years guest freelancer - Tim Willison. Tim is the director of Oddly Studios Inc., a multimedia production company bringing ideas to life in a refreshingly creative manner. Proudly representing - Telus, TVO, BMO, Bull Frog, Manulife, KFC.. just to name..

He’s not a freelancer from the age of 14 like George S. Zimbel or from the sales angle, like our 2008 Guest Freelancer, Angela Matich. He’s formerly the lead of interface development for Organic Inc. and he was named the official spokesperson for the company, receiving the inaugural Award for Exceptional Innovation for the design and development of productivity tools. A member of the board for Digital Arts and Technology Association; a frequent guest speaker on subjects such as user-experience and site architecture.

In 2005, Tim founded the popular Fall Tour of Interactive Studios which has since grown to involve over 40 volunteers, four colleges, two universities, and more than twenty of the top studios in Toronto. This well-known event has led to talented individuals starting careers throughout Toronto and a creative surge in local industry. Active in the fine-arts community, Tim is a correspondent for OneDegree.ca, and has two short stories in printed publication.

..

We are very proud and honoured to have our next guest freelancer, Tim Willison to share his life experiences with us, the challenges he face in his growth to becoming a better prospecting freelancer. Worth the visit guys... come out...
